This May, we make our first foray into the work of a staggering queer legend: Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Widely regarded as the catalyst of the New German Cinema Movement, Fassbinder was an astonishingly prolific artistic figure, creating 44 films, 24 plays and two television series before he died of a drug overdose at the age of 37.
